Let me introduce myself!

art artist dogs sighthound

Hey! Thanks for being here!
This photo was taken of me over 15 years ago! How time flies by! I'm sharing this photo because although alot has changed since then, one thing still remains, my passion for dogs!
I've always been an animal lover and my happiest times are those quiet moments in the company of them, whether it be my own pets or a brief magical chance encounter with a wild animal while out in nature.
I grew up in Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin and this photo was actually taken on Dun Laoghaire pier. Although I have lived in many different places and currently live in beautiful Co. Wexford, Dun Laoghaire is the place I will always consider home.
Creativity and animals have always been a part of my life. For me to create is who I am, it's always been a kind of therapy for me. A quiet time of mindfulness and peace where hours pass by blissfully. Did I mention how much I enjoy quiet time!
I loved art in school, in my final year I graduated with an International Baccalaureate award in Art with honours, then completed a two year course in fine art in Bray institute and finally continued my studies in visual arts in IADT Dun Laoghaire.
While working in the corporate sector I forgot my creative side for many years. It was only when I was injured at work and needed to rest, that I picked up a pencil and took the time to start drawing again. The rest is history!
When I'm not in the studio, you'll find me out and about walking my dogs.
I've worked with, rescued and studied dogs for many years, depicting them in my artwork was just a natural progression!
So that's me in a nutshell! Artist, lover of dogs and all round animal enthusiast. Stick around if you'd like to meet my furry family and perhaps catch a glimpse of my next creative project!

Also feel free to leave a comment, I'd love to hear from you. 😊
