This too shall pass.

This too shall pass... this is something I always remember to tell myself during tough times. An unfortunate situation happened last week when my dog Millie was playing in the garden with my other dog Stanley. She was running and injured her leg. I brought her to the vet and an X Ray revealed she had broken her hind leg. It's been bandaged up and a splint applied. We will be assessing it on a day by day basis as the vet is uncertain if the splint will work as the break is quite compressed. If this is the case she may need surgery. She's not a young dog and I'm conscious of every decision I make for her. In the meantime she is getting lots of painkillers and tlc. We will have a two month recovery time if there are no complications with the splint and she will need her bandages changed at the vets every week. We will have to wait and see but I'm hopeful that she will heal. I'll be updating her progress here. Thank you so much to everyone that has sent their well wishes. ❤️
