About

Art and animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up with many pets and we were always taking in the waifs and strays of the neighbourhood. In school I was always doodling in my notebooks and when art class came around that was where I thrived. Later in life I studied Fine Art and received my diploma from Bray Institute of Further Education. I then went on to continue my studies in Fine Art at the Institute of Art, Design and Technology in Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin. It made total sense to me to combine my two passions, my love for animals and creativity.
I have such a love of dogs and was lucky enough to work with them for many years. When I discovered sighthounds I really fell in love. Dogs are the subject of most of my work but I also create artwork featuring all kinds of animals as well as people.
I believe the soul of an animal can be seen and felt through their eyes, and through my work I aim to portray the feeling and emotion I recieve, enabling the viewer to also feel this connection.
Along with my artistic training and work experience with dogs, I was trained in energy healing and attuned to positive Reiki energy by the amazing Reiki Master and author Srimanju Katragadda. When requested I will infuse positive healing Reiki energy into my creations. This can be especially well received with memorial portraits.
Although I'm only small (it's just me!), It's very important to me to do my bit for the environment. I make a conscious effort to package all my handmade items in recycled packaging. I also, wherever possible order my supplies from companies with similar ethical policies.
I live in wexford with my 3 rescue dogs and I try to  regularly raise funds for dogs in rescues in the UK and Ireland from my work.
Thank you for visiting my website, I hope you enjoy looking around.
